Warranty/RMA Policy

Warranty Period

  1. CPU: three months limited warranty from the date of invoicing, effective on September 1, 1999.
  2. Other items: 1 year limited warranty from the date of invoicing.

Warranty is voided for any item which is damaged due to excessive physical or electrical stresses, or due to unauthorized repairing by the customer.

DOA (Dead on Arrival) Policy

  1. DOA items will be handled immediately after being received by Crown Micro. To be treated as DOA, all items must be returned to and received by Crown Micro with 10 days of the invoice date.
  2. For incorrect shipping or shipping damages, Crown Micro must be informed by the customer within 24 hours of the receipt of the products (excluding holidays).

Credit Policy

  1. Full Credit will be issued only in situations where products received by customers are not those being ordered. In other situations, a restocking fee or service charge may apply.
  2. Credit will not be issued without Crown Micro's prior authorization, even if new products have been bought as the replacement of the defective items.

Warranty Claiming Procedure

  1. Fax RMA request form and copies of invoices with serial numbers to 510-490-5051.
  2. Within 24 hours after the receipt of the request, an RMA number will be issued to authorize the return of the defective items.
  3. All return items must be received by Crown Micro within the Warranty Period and with a valid RMA number.
  4. Unauthorized return items will be rejected.
  5. Products will be replaced only after the defective items are received by Crown Micro.

Item Shipping

  1. Do not return cables and accessories except in case for credit.
  2. All return products must be properly packed.
  3. In case of credit, all items returned must look "like new".
